Angela had previously been the Registered Manager at Afon Goch Children’s Homes Ltd since March 2014. Angela initially went to work at Afon Goch in April 2011 as a social care consultant and loved it that much that she stayed!
Angela has over 25 years’ experience of working with young people who can display challenging behaviors often having experienced early years trauma. During those years Angela has managed three other Children’s homes and prides herself on the foundations she creates to enable young people to acquire life skills that better prepare them for adulthood.
Angela holds a Registered Managers Award and NVQ3 and NVQ 4 in Health and Social care.
Angela joined the team on 15th June 2020 and since she has taken over the role of registered manager she has built and maintained excellent relationships with not only the young people, but staff and professionals.
Angela has a great belief that structure, routine and boundaries play a key part in the success of the young people and the home.
Since Angela has been managing Bank House, the home and the young people have moved from strength to strength and this has been evidence with an excellent transition from one of the young people into an independence placement and all young people are accessing education, which they weren’t previously.
During Bank House first Ofsted inspection we achieved GOOD over all but were given OUTSTANDING re safeguarding the young people and OUTSTANDING in Leadership and Management. Angela has been a great asset to the company when it comes to supporting managers, and these skills have now led her to become the ‘Head of Care’.
Angela will pass on her knowledge and experience to other managers, and help to further develop their skills, so this can be passed onto the young people who are supported by Care 4 Every Child and ensure that all young people are supported to be the best version of themselves.
